Monthly Update #5 | March – Winter 2017 Anime Series Reviews Planned, Visual Novel Reviews Continue, Possible Manga Reviews

Jeez, I can’t believe it’s already March. It’s almost as if we just finished living through the shortest month of the year or something.

Well, I was never good at chit-chat, so I’ll just leave it at that…

Winter 2017 Anime Shows and Series Reviews

Most of the Winter 2017 anime series are going to end in a few weeks, so I just wanted you all to be aware that I’ll be trying to stay on top of things when it comes to episode reviews and such. I won’t be doing a seasonal round-up post, but you can expect me to pump out series reviews for said shows later this month. So, uh, look forward to that. B-but don’t expect too much, okay? I don’t want to disappoint anyone.

Visual Novel Schedule

I’m trying to get through this huge stockpile of yuri visual novels and I was kind of successful last month! Managed to complete and review two of them, yay! I’m trying to finish and review a visual novel every 1-2 weeks – but we’ll see if I can actually pull that off. Right now I’m playing through The Shadows of Pygmalion, so expect a review of that to come out this weekend. It’s definitely not for the faint of heart, I can tell you that much.

So after a game like this…I might go for a more light-hearted series. I definitely can’t really afford to slow down since at least two more games are coming out soon. The yuri video games never stop!

Manga Reviews?!

My weakest “Reviews” section by far is the Manga Review section. There’s just so many yuri manga (if you include doujins and one-shots, I mean) and it gets to a point where I’m struggling to keep track of what I read. I might have to make use of a tracker site for once.

I also just feel like I’m not that qualified to talk about manga. It’s quite a bit harder to write about. For me, at least.

Long story made short: I would like to flesh that section out. But I also know that I need to be aware of my own limitations in regards to writing ability and available time.

Longer story made shorter: I’ll try to review manga series more often, but don’t hold your breath. Well, I guess you could if you’re into autoerotic asphyxiation. You’d definitely be a masochist if you’re reading my manga review posts, so why not embrace even more kinks while you’re at it? Kinks kinks kinks kinks

Other Planned Posts

Last month I rebooted the “What About” weekly feature. Hopefully I’m not boring you with those. They’re a challenge for me to write, but I know I have to keep writing “What About” posts in order to practice writing that’s not just involve me recapping an episode and then throwing in a few stray thoughts and observations. I gotta step up my analytical game and this is another rung on the later, y’know?

…I want to write more about Saki, but we’ll see how it is. A monthly feature about Saki huh? Not sure if the reception would be positive. It might even be ±0, wahaha. Don’t hurt me, please.

That’s all, folks. Now it’s past one o’clock. Just for the record, the blogger life chose me. It’s not the other way around, I promise!

  1. Busy busy, Remy. I find that monthly updates like these are helpful in forcing you to do exactly what you wrote in them.

    That’s why I don’t do them anymore. 😂

But best of luck, Rem. You can do these!
